Call for Entries - 33rd Durban International Film Festival
The 33rd edition of Durban International Film Festival will take place from 19 to 29 July 2012. The festival will present over 200 screenings of films from around the world, with a special focus on films from South African and Africa. Screenings will take place throughout Durban including township areas where cinemas are non-existent. The festival calls for entries from around the world.

MBA Scholarships for Social Entrepreneurs in Africa
Modelled somewhat on the Skoll Scholarships, the University of Cape Town have created five fully paid scholarships for the MBA programme with a special focus on social entrepreneurship at Africa's leading business school. The Bertha Scholarship will be awarded annually, starting in 2012. The Bertha Centre will drive research into social innovation and entrepreneurship.

The Jan Vrijman Fund is looking for creative documentaries and documentary events in developing countries. The fund strives to have a minimum of 18% of the selected projects from countries from the two left columns on the DAC list (Least Developed Countries and Lower Income Countries). The fund’s current budget does not allow to select more than 8% of the projects submitted.

ACT is now open for nominations for the ImpACT Awards for Young Professionals which will be presented at the 14th annual ACT Awards. Artists up to the age of 30 years that fall within the first three years of their professional careers are eligible for nomination.
