The aim of the competition is to encourage the writing of youth literature aimed at readers from 12 to 18 years. The competition will be judged in six categories: Afrikaans, English, Nguni, Sotho languages, Tshivenda and Xitsonga. The organisers require a novel in which humour plays a role.
